Bay Cities Italian Deli and Bakery

If you want a spot in Santa Monica that will make you feel like you are in New York at least that makes me feel like in New York where you can find some of the best delis in the world you have to stop into Bay Cities before hitting the beaches in the area. They are known for the godmother, but I love pesto so my favorite sandwich to grab is the Turkey Pesto. No beach day/ beach picnic is complete without a sweet treat to end it. They got you covered with tons of options, but if you get to the front of the line and have forgotten that last piece of the puzzle, just ask for a chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie, forgetting truly might work in your favor in this instance.
